Lauren Parker, DNP, APRN, NP-C graduated from IUPUI with a bachelors of nursing in 2011. After working as a floor nurse for a couple of years, she soon realized she wanted to continue her career and began her doctoral journey at Valparaiso University in 2013. After graduating in 2016 with her doctorate in nursing practice, she focused her role in family medicine. She has focused her career on root cause medicine, incorporating a functional medicine approach in a conventional setting. After almost 15 years of nursing experience, she has decided to fulfill her passion of functional medicine. She strives to understand the whole patient to promote a lifetime of health, wellness, and vitality. She focuses on modifiable lifestyle, environment, and dietary choices to address the root cause of dis-ease.
